Challenge
Many ordering channels under one roof It was important to the Austrian insurance group to replace its existing web store system with a modern store system with various interfaces. The choice fell on the Munich-based manufacturer of the store software of the same name, CosmoShop. The focus here was to be on guaranteeing orders by brokers, end customers, purchasing and employees in a central system. This was implemented by CosmoShop in a very athletic realization time, because less than four weeks passed from placing the order to going live.
Solution
Interfaces ensure optimized workflow By connecting SAP via OCI Punch Out, a convenient and efficient ordering option was created for all internal employees. The store is used as an external catalog and the filled shopping cart is simply transferred back to the SAP SRM system. The actual orders are returned to the store via a return channel, where they are processed and transferred fully automatically to the logistics provider via a bidirectional interface. The number of packages, shipping costs, tracking & status information as well as stocks are returned to the system and sent to the customer by e-mail. Complex circulation determination for calendar orders A major issue in the promotional products segment is often the early determination of the print run for certain items. Often, the print run for calendars must be determined as early as spring so that they can be produced by fall. A separate function has been created in CosmoShop for this purpose, which initially shows the customer via a visualized countdown how long he still has the opportunity to pre-order this article. Later, this pre-order is then separated from the rest of the orders and considered completely separately in the subsequent workflow to the logistics provider.

What I found outstanding was the deep logical understanding of the issues that arise with ingredient mapping in recipes and online supermarkets. There is not much knowledge freely available on the internet here. This was acquired by the service provider himself and shared with us.

We are a recipe platform that allows you to have the necessary ingredients delivered directly to your home. I am the founder and CEO of the cookbutler.com platform.
Thousands of recipes should be easily searchable with many search filters. Depending on the number of people, it is then automatically calculated how many ingredients are necessary. This data was coordinated with the container size and availability in various online supermarkets. The shopping cart is transferred directly to the supermarket after confirmation.
A few manufacturers were pitched. The problem and challenge was clearly described. Few understood the technical challenges in detail. The vendor with the best idea and a suitable price was selected. In this case, cosmoshop GmbH.
After our pitch and the preliminary meeting, all services were agreed upon with fixed prices as part of a very detailed offer. After signing the offer, a specification sheet was created and worked through together. We were always in close contact with the project manager and programmers.
A project manager and a programmer were our direct contact. Whether in the background the work was divided among several programmers is unknown to me.
We won the 2013 Show Award for the most innovative business model. Furthermore, we were the pilot partner for the largest recipe platform in Europe to make their recipes "shopable". Our technology was developed for this purpose. This has worked for about 250,000 recipes.
Yes, I don't see how the development time could have been accelerated. The response times were minimal on both, so the project progress was maximally fast.

There is less here. The backend (merchandise management) and project management could use a graphical overhaul, but functionally everything fit.
